Moor Unit Roster Project

I always thought there Unit Roster was a little bit stale. Would anybody want a unit roster revamp? I would be willing to do it, but my modding skills...suck. Is there any modders interested in a project like this?

They have some of the best looking and most usefull units in the game.

If we had some north african players here they would really have a reason to complain about the moors egyptians.

I think the reqonquista mod is doing that and its being released in a couple of days(in german first but they are doing an translation patch)

Considering SS has Portugal, Castille-Leon & Aragon, which all have damn good rosters I don't think they're in desperate need of anything. Besides, the Moors have a terrible roster in comparison.

Just looking at my database, Castille-Leon gets Gendarmes, Conquistadors (mounted & dismounted), Jinetes, Musketeers, Lusitanian Javelinmen, Sword & Buckler Men, Tercio Pikemen, Knights of Santiago (mounted & dismounted), plus other decent more generic units like Pavise Crossbowmen and Chivalric Knights. The only gripe Castille-Leon has is probably that Portugal & Aragon have (imo) personally better rosters. But considering how awful the Moors and some other factions are in comparison, I don't see a mad rush to revamp them.

Yea about the kingdom of castille and leon but there unit roster i heard is one of the best and since i always hear people complaining about how the moors unit roster sucks i want to do a moorish unit roster instead.

The Leon-Castille faction does need something added to be different from Aragon, Aragon has everything Leon-Castille has plus some extra units. The conquistadores arent available in the campaigns after all. I would go with a two handed swordsman unit or an axe and shield infantry unit.

But now the Moors.

They could be given black guard units to spice things up, and maybe some armor piercing infantry as well. They got a lot of unique units but most arent very usefull so they could be replaced.
