Default OK, this is too funny

So, I'm England, its around turn 20, and I recently bought (!!!) Bologna from HRE. So, anyway, because I have Generic Luncheon Meat, I can see all the Neighbors, including still-rebel Florence. But it won't be for long. Guess why.

No, its not me! Its the POPE and his FULL STACK. so, if I can find my camera, and lay siege to Florence too, all you Catholic goody goodies will finally be able to see that funny hat.

Uhhhhhh, if you mean screenshot with the computer, no, becasue my Gameing computer isn't hooked up to the Internet yet, and I don't know how too.

So I did get pics of him, but he looks like any other general. Same bodyguard too.

Old. I Jihad-ed Rome in one of my first campaigns. It pissed me off when not only did I fail to see the pope in action, I also failed to kill the bugger and lost my Sultan.

You can take a screenshot and dump it on a usb thumb drive, no? Or go "medieval" and grab a floppy!

You only see the Pope's funny hat on the campaign map. I've killed him enough times on the battlemap to know.

I've seen the AI Papals take Florence many a time - that is, when I'm playing as a faction that's not nearby, or else I would've gotten Tuscany by then.

Interestingly, it seems as though when the Papal States are not given the chance to expand from Rome, they seem to keep to themselves... but when they get one or more other settlements, they suddenly start cranking out armies, merchants and priests. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yep, in my Venice campaign, they have a almost full stack wondering in France, but they're not doing anything, but in my English campaign, well I already told everyone that they took Florence. I think I'm gonna give them the Aztec settlement with the beach to the Pope when the New World gets discovered and see what they do. (Besides, I have military access so I can still land there)

If I'm a far western European faction and I want to give up my possessions in the Levant after a crusade or two, what I usually do is give all my settlements there to the Papals and launch an armada back to the mother country with all my agents and armies from out East. So one time they did a crusade on Iconium, after I had already taken Antioch and Jerusalem on previous crusades. (I had also taken Gaza, Damascus, Acre, Aleppo and Adana, so I spammed troops and ships from all of those.) Iconium falls no contest, so I get all my armies moved out and gift all seven of those and Iconium to the Papal States. About ten turns later, I see a message that the Turks have been eliminated, so I use toggle_fow to see what the hell happened.

The Papal States had taken all of Anatolia, a lot of Egypt's land, and had started to move into Byzantine territory. In fact, the Pope himself was sieging Constantinople at that moment, and one turn remained until surrender without a reinforcement in sight.

So apparantly, when given an empire, the Papal States kicks ass...

In a hotseat campaign with my friends, I gave all my cities (but an isolated russian one) up to the pope, and he crushed my catholic-faction playing friends

"Five had been his brothers. Oswell Whent and Jon Darry. Lewyn Martell, a prince of Dorne. The White Bull, Gerold Hightower. Ser Arthur Dayne, Sword of the Morning. And beside them, crowned in mist and grief with his long hair streaming behind him, rode Rhaegar Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone and rightful heir to the Iron Throne."
