    Default Sicily's daughters

I decided to try the Sicilians this round and I seem to be getting ALOT of daughters being born to my family. In a way its alright because they usally have very nice attributes to them, all are good a negotions which is nice, their all supposedly quite hot rocking babes(a good chance of having babies) their all smart plus other stuff. I've been playing TW series for years(MTW was first purchase) so I'm not a complete noob but I was wondering how many others had a profusion of daughters being born to your faction.

yeah, i had that a while back, almost all girls born, it was quite annoying actually.

what i did was played with the campaign_db file to change the family tree so each family member can only have 3 kids (to try to avoid the baby boom after taking all rebel settlements) and changed the princess retirement age to 21 so that any princesses you dont need are taken out of the family tree after 21 years of age freeing up the space for more kids.

Ive currently got an England game going and Robert has had a daughter, William (Rufus) had a daughter.....then got himself killed, and Henry had 1 son (also called Henry) and 3 daughters. I prefer to have more sons then daughters as i usually play without marrying generals into my family or adopting, so princess only have the purpose of been married to foreign Heir's and Leaders.

I mostly do this out of personal preference and to make the game more challenging

for kings I like a son to be their heir, for emperors I dont mind who becomes the heir.

I did remove the family trees for Jerusalem, Venice and Genoa. It didnt make sense.

They do always seem to have good princesses and I tend to marry into that family a lot; the Sicilians that is.

I think it is merely chance. Surely when you play and you get a lot of boys you never notice.

My HRE campaign, I only had two daughters and thats it. Rest is all sons.
I guess its good to have them, but you definitely want more sons being born.

Definitely randomized, I was plating as Lithuania and didn't have ANYoffspring for at least 30 turns. Then all of the sudden the baby boom was on and I was getting 1-3 a turn for 5 turns. They were a good mix though. Part of what makes the game interesting.

My last Kievan campaign the king had 4 sons, and the faction heir produced 4 more. I imagine it is random but it does warm your heart to see that influx of new talent coming of age, and all of the royal blood!

It sure does. Its a shame though that you can't pick your faction heir yourself.
