Hi,
I've recently spent a lot of time editing the missile units of the Broken Crescent mod to make their impact on the battlefield more realistic. Among the changes that I made was lowering the velocity of arrows. Unfortunately this has resulted in the range of archers being drastically decreased so that crossbowmen are now slaughtering archers from afar.
This brings me to my questions.
1. Does changing the velocity of arrows and bolts in the descr_projectile.txt indeed afect range?
2. And if so, what is the connecting between the two (maybe a factor?)
3. What does it take for a unit to aquire the long range missiles ability?
