i need a little help :)

im new at stainless steel downloaded it yesterday but when i launce the game, i got like 1 minut to decide who to play with af that minut it closes down to the deskop no pop up with an error message, nothing... it just closes down so i can restart the game...

it is normal or whats the reason why it happen?

and another question, i tryied to download 6.1 patch but i can download it from file front and nothing happens? help...

there is a known bug in the menu screen, when you are chosing a faction to play be certain who you want to play as, as if yuo select to many of the faction icons it will CTD. This alos happens when you try and switch between custom battle and campaign. (How this clears everything up)

Well its nothing to do with SS, its a kingdoms bug and I think it happens in every kingdoms mod (better check this I might be wrong).

Thus I do not believe it is actually fixable, you just have to get used to chosing your faction without clicking on loads of icons.

Explain it a little more, so do you mean you cick download and then nothnig happens or does it download but doesnt save the file or something?

send me a link to where you downloaded it aswell if you can, and ill have a go.

so i thought there would be a new shortcut/lanucher to the game where it was called Stainless Steel 6.1?

well im not sure if it creates a new icon, I have actually downloaded 6.1, but it should say on the loading screen when you load up the game.

If it doesnt then something has gone wrong with your install.

It uses the same desktop icon from 6.0, don't fret, you'll know what version you're playing from menu screen.

ehhmm... now the game just closed down in an unspecificed error, when i was about starting a real time battle...

so for playing stainless steel i need to choose faction quick and avoid real time battles?

Did you install both parts 1 and 2 of SS? Part 2 doesn't install if you only install part 1.

hey just wanna hear i think i installed part 2 before part 1, so part 2 counldent be installed?

btw without both parts how could i then download patch 6.1?

And dont fumble around in the menu as you will get ctd.

And be carefull when you choose the submods offered in the 6.1 patch. Read before you install them.
