Icon5 SS War council? and Traits

Yeah, i think this is assosiated with Real Recuitment. I'm playing as late genoa. I have 20 provences and its about 1270 or something, aftergunpoweder was discovered. But there is no more war councils. I've been keeping adopted people out of my royal bloodline so basicly every1 in my family tree is administratively minded. I have no general over 1 star. I've seen tons of threads with people complaining that they can only get peasant armies, but the time is right, they can be recuited. I sent a princess to get a forign general with 4 stars, but on the way back it seemed AI wasn't too fancy with my taking their unwed heir away and attacked and turned this 4 start with good traits into a coward. THe point is once it got 4 stars, the only family member with any command stars, it doesnt get the war council trait. It seems that in the beggining of the game my king and my heir was in war council, but when they died, the right 2 be in that war council died with them and so did my generals. I dont understand how my family members can be in the war council, or how they are able to recuit people. I thought at least my king could be able to rec uit ppl, being a conqurer, full chiv but... no stars?.. He was not able to recuit anything good. I dont understand the faction zeal, even if its abysmal saying 90% relgion, i still wasn't able to recuit anything good besides italian spear miltia. I also dont nderstand the right to knight?. I've been seeing that alot and it says stuff like able to have the universal right to knight. I was like? huh. I moved a family member in with him to see if he could knigoht em into war council but they both died of natural causes along the way. Old bastards. Also the king has this trait that changes randomly as well as faction zeal. The ability to command full logistical support? Wth. When i move it into a good city, or like my capital, says centralized. I totally dont get that. Is it a trait to be ignored? I think thats it on what to ask for. Right now im uninstalling it and installing it again without RR. I dont like the fact that all my armies are italian milita and getting bombarded with... bombards with no chance to do anything. Thanks for reading and any help with any question would be thanked greatly.

I installed and actually read the installer:
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=106060

    was there

There are up to 3 WCs. A general with at least 3 stars, 4 loyalty and 4 piety will become a WC if there is a vacancy in the War Council and he does not posess the Negligent trait. A general can acquire Negligent by repeatedly allowing a town he controls to become besieged. A general can become less negligent by fighting in the open. The greater the enemy the better.

Your talking about BYG III mod. RR mod just limits you to recruiting soldiers that are in the right time frame. BYG is the one that has to do with all the traits, check out the thread in the MOD Sub forums
might be able to help you better with your questions.

Then you will have to use your king. That is part of the intention of the mod. He is always a War Councillor. You need to think ahead and keep lesser generals trained up. Try fighting with no star generals until they get some, go on crusades etc. It should not be a problem for any expert player to beat the ai without stars.

my only problem is that I cant recruit quality units with both my faction leader and heir, been investing time in building cannon buildings but the bombards still say 9 turns when one of them is in those settlements.

Wrong thread for this really. Should be in submods section, but anyway.

Assuming you downloaded the update, the heir no longer gets automatic War Council status.

Just because the king has the authority to build all units it does not mean he can if other factors are not also favourable.

There are things that CAN inhibit recruitment even in the king and war council:

    Non compliant religious population
Too many units recruited for your population size
    Out of supplies

these and others factors are shown in each general's traits.

Take a peek at the 2nd link in my signature.

If you are certain that no restrictions should be applying and you still have no recruitment for a particular general then please feel free to to post in the BGR thread and I will check it out for you.

Would you tell me what other traits the king has then? As I've already said being a WC does not mean you will get full recruitment, the instructions tell you many other factors.

Make a proper bug report. No report since the update (Released on May 5th) has been due to anything other than not having read the BGR thread.
