This site is awesome, just stumbled onto it. Anyhow I bought the medieval 2 total war gold edition. I have been playing non expansion only with no problems, fully patched. I tried the other day to download a mod and install/run the mod and I get an error. I then tried to play a mod that come with the expansion and same error. Can someone please help me? Any bright ideas? Im getting the error:

MED2GOLD
Wrong disc inserted.
Please insert the original "MED2GOLD" CD/DVD

Now I have tried both the original and expansion discs, no luck.

I downloaded and installed the latest firmware and driver for my "Optiarc DVD RW AD-7170S ATA device" and still got the same error.
