    Default Problem with Faction Symbol

I've been working in a Barebones mod folder, and I've added factions and changed the map fine.

But when I copied the vanilla UI folder into the Barebones folder and edited France's symbol on one of the southern_european stratpage files, all the UI is mucked up. The scrolls appear all white and there is little UI at the bottom of the screen.

Are the vanilla files not compatible with this folder since it runs on kingdoms.exe?

I used the retrofit mod which already had a ui folder with various files in it. Try downloading that and adding the ui folder from it.

IIRC it only had a few files in it. I hope it isn't a compatibility issue, those can be pretty tedious to get round...

Its not, lots of people have changed the UI, I dont think its platform dependant.

Most likely it is because you didn't save the TGA correctly. TGA files in mtw2 are a bit convoluted. Stratpage_01 I think must be saved in 24-bits, while all the other TGAs must be saved in 32-bits.

the tranquility of servitude greater than
the animating contest for freedom, go
home from us in peace. We seek not
your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch
down and lick the hand that feeds you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen."
