M2TW collector's edition

Does anyone know where or if it's still possible to get the collector's edition? I know it's probably wishful thinking by now, but I've only just found out that there was actually a collector's edition for this game. I'd love to buy one and just stare at it as I play ETW to remind myself all these years of medieval warfare

I got the collectors edition and it was so cool. You get: A collectors edition of the Medieval II manual with two game discs, M2TW documentary dvd, and music cd with M2TW soundtrack. You also get a map of the M2TW gameworld,
five artcards with the M2TW artwork, and a special building planner poster.
Plus, you also get TW medieval knight figurine.

I don't know, I just love collector's editions. I got the ROME one too.

Yea, me too. Maybe he's talking about the Gold Editon or something. I think the first batch of M2TW games sent out to retailers were the Collector's Edition because that was the only edition Best Buy had available on release. I love the posters, they're just so big that I hardly use them, kind of defeats the purpose. I wish CA would have included the entire soundtrack on the music disk too.

The eras collecters edition had what hes describing except the artwork was of all the TW games and the CD talked about all the games. (anf their future)

I think they're only available at the release, its really worth it, and you get that

in History Channel doc, not sure where you can get it now adays . . .

Thnx 4 the replies. As for the different editions, I believe there's two: the limited edition, & the collector's edition. The collector's edition, like noble lord says, includes some extra goodies, while the limited edition nets u the soundtrack & making of dvd along with the posters. Ah well, if I can't get the collectors, then I guess the limited edition will have to suffice.

Yeah, I pre-ordered the Collectors Edition something like three months in advance. And it is the "ultimate version" as it says on the box. Its a Collectors Edition and there was limited number of them available for sale. You had to ordered it in advance and pay deposit. Maybe its still available on some of the websites.

No, you didn't had to order them or pay in advance.

I got my Collectors Ed. by simply buying it in a store.

Maybe it depends from country to country. In some places you have to pre-ordered it, in some you don't.

Wow, I didn't know there were two editions, I always assumed that they were the same thing. Was the collector's edition released in the US?

I got mine way back in September of '06. First copy of the Game I had... I don't think there are any left where I'm at.

Copies of the Medieval II:Total War Collector's Editions are discontinued. As far as I know, it was initially available to only Australian customers when the game first came out.

However, I was fortunate enough to get the Limited Edition here in Canada, but it only came with the Soundtrack and World Map.

Unlikely. I have tried eBay and Amazon before, but it's listed as discontinued.

Yeah, its so better to get the Collectors Edition instead the normal one.
I am gonna get the ETW Collectors Edition as well. You can pre-order now actually.
