Mine is a Shakespeare one. I always crack up when I read the one that says "I will kill thee a hundred and fifty ways!", I think it sounds so cool![]()

i prefer the machiavellen ones
Most wise quote: He who wishes to be obeyed must know how to command.
Most funny quote: I speak Spanish to God, Italian to women, French to men, and German to my horse.
or A horse! A horse! My kingdom for a horse!![]()
I don't want my statement to come across as being pretentious or discrediting, but to me it seems as though Machiavelli's quotes, at least the majority of the ones displayed in the game, are common sense. Excuse the quote but I think Stewie Griffin says it best; "Machiavelli! You've told me nothing I don't already know!". So I think one of my favorite screen quotes is from John Milton; "Better to reign in hell than serve in heav'n".
you must bear thought on the times of this, and its taken from the prince i think, a book on how princes should act, not completly on war and such, but the way they should rule their kingdoms
"Better to reign in hell than serve in heaven"
My fav too![]()
My favorite is:
I speak Spanish to God, Italian to women, French to men, and German to my horse
I'd have to go with:
'Kill them all, God will recognize his own'
I liked the Rome Total War quotes better, the medieval 2 ones seemed a disappointment with the endless Shakespeare lines and Machiavelli quotes and no one else.
I like that Machiavelli one that says something like;
"A king can either be feared or loved. As it is impossible to be both, it is preferable to be feared."
I did prefer the Rome quotes, but speaking "Spanish to God, Italian to women etc" is aces.
My g/f loves the quote "Let the world tremble at all we are about to accomplish" by Luis Cameos? I think, meh. Well, she wants it as a tattoo in portugese she likes it that much!
"I am the king of rome, and above grammer"
thats brilliant :p
Army Strong
Hooah
I've 2 favourites:
Let the world tremble as it senses all you are about to accomplish. (Luis de Camões, The Lusiads)
So many great nobles, things, administrations, so many high chieftains, so many brave nations, so many proud princes, and power so splendid; In a moment, a twinkling, all utterly ended. (Jacobus de Benedictus)![]()
Theres the one about "Theres daggers in mens eyes"
"If you can't get rid of the skeleton in your closet, you'd best teach it to dance." - George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)
My favorite.
Better to be a lion for a day than sheep all your life.
