Default I like this Mod but Can I??

I really enjoy this mod but the length of time needed to progress is to much for me I was hoping there was a way someone could show me to change a file and get things to work a lil faster for me.

    Any suggestions??

What do you want to speed up? Theres lots of files for different aspects.

I want to speed up getting into larger cities and castles, I wind up getting to far into my campaign before anything really is available.

The game is meant to be slightly slower than vanilla, which explains the slower growth rates. There are various ways to adjust population. A simple way if you really want to have bigger settlements, is to use the add_population cheat. Press ` and type in add_population "settlement name" "number you wish to add. So it looks like add_population Milan 2000. Then press enter. you can repeat this until your desired population is reached. It can also lower population by typing in a negative number such as -2000 instead of 2000.

I personally don't have experience modding growth rates, but here is a thread on how to reduce them. Just note that the values need to be changed from what they give you in order to increase the growth rate, because they all want to reduce it

    Hi Breeze,

Simply copy the descr_settlement_mechanics.XML from SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data (you need the game unpacked to see these files). Then copy this XML into the SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod\data folder. You now have all the settlement mechanics working EXACTLY like they do in vanilla.

    regards,

when you unpack and replace the file, can you delete all unpacked files not needed?
