Icon2 Honorary titles for the Hall of Fame - Nominations

Do you know an excellent After Action Report on TWC? Nominate it to the honorary titles of the AAR Hall of Fame .

Eligibility: the AAR must not be featured already in the Hall of Fame and must not be in progress . (So it must be either completed, broken or abandoned - otherwise it could be nominated in the regular competitions. If you are not sure whether it is still in progress or not, please PM the author, I won't have time to check all the links - thanks in advance.)

I maintain the right to edit out those AAR nominations, that doesn't come up to a certain standard - so no cheeky noms please.

You can nominate by giving the links of 3 AARs you'd like to see in the Hall of Fame (only existing threads please!). Choose wisely, as your choices will echo in eternity.

The top AARs with the most nominations will be introduced to the Hall of Fame.

Nomination deadline is August 31, 2008. You can edit your nomination post until the deadline.

    Suggestions are welcome.

Note: if you have a hard time searching for AARs, try browsing with my AAR Catalogue.

[..] you seem to like fantasy then. Also you are not much TOLERANT to put that in middle words.

I should have posted here ages ago...

    1. IBFD- AAR Romano-British by SeniorBatavianHorse.
This AAR captured my imagination after the first update, and held it to the conclusion. Well written and (dare I say it!) moving, this is one of my all-time favorites.

    2. Peace and Prosperity - An Observer RS AAR by Exekutor.

What started as an uninpressive series of posts from a bored forum-goer turned into the hippest thread on TWC. You'll laugh, you'll cry (from laughter), and you'll enjoy the show as the AI stumbles over itself. The end is literally out of this world!

    1. The Lost Expedition (SeniorBatavianHorse)
My foray into AARs was partly inspired by this story. Luckily despite SBH's abundant historical detail, epic storyline and high tragedy, I can at least take comfort in the fact that my AAR contains more jokes.

    2. IBFD - AAR Roman-British (SeniorBatavianHorse)
SBH has a real skill for narrative AARs, they read like novels. This is the tale of a Tribune of cavalry fighting against the Saxons and Picts after the withdrawal of the last legions from Britannia. It is absolutely packed with historical detail and vocabulary. Reading this is an uncanny experience for me since I am currently writing an AAR myself in the same setting (although I haven't yet spotted his narrator in my own story).

    3. Imperator! (M.CorneliusMarcellus)
I must also mention MCM's Imperator!, reposted from the now defunct RTR forums. It is a hugely impressive work with a solid story and much high-quality artwork. I still don't understand how he does it. Even with my new machine, I can't get anything even approaching the quality of his screenshots.

The Wasteland (Artaserse/Obelics) - not nominated
I just had to list this, even though it doesn't qualify for nomination. I think it may be the funniest AAR of all time. It was originally posted at the old RTR forums, but transferred to the ORG (where Artaserse goes under the name Obelics) when the RTR forums went down.
