I don't know if somebody else has said this but when I get any of the "Wonder Captures" videos the music is crackly and messed. Just wondering what I could do about it or what causes it.

I have had it as well, but there isn't much to do about it. When I get it the first time it works but every time I look at it after that it the sound sucks and it doesn't show the movie.

Mine always sucks

I think alot of it depends on your computer but Have you guys patched your games? (mine used to CTD whenever a wonder cap video came up)
i had that problem, but i reinstalled it after i got rid of aol, and it began to work fine
and in my games they just didnt show up, it was a black screen
I get a perfect video, but the sound comes out in staggered bits. But I don't usually look at the Wonder Captured stuff anyway...
Yea its normal. For some reason the sound of the 'Wonder' movies get desynced when played with the RTW engine (in most circumstances), in other words it sounds distorted. The video (picture) should work fine though, I dont think its normal to see black...
If you want to see the movies perfectly, go in the RTW data folder, and in there you should see a folder called "fmv", in this folder are all the videos of RTW. You can open the video file with almost any media player that plays videos.
I have RTW installed on both comps and the old one gives me a black screen and the sound barly comes through while my newest one has perfect video but the sound sucks ass just like in the othere one
The same happens to me, but also in the opening movie in barbarian invasion. Annoying![]()
Maybe check if you have the latest version of Windows Media Player? Maybe that'll help.
did you guys installed the latest video drivers?

I have the same problem, I just close the scroll as soon as I've read the thing
Also Im relaly annoyed by when you demolish a building the sound of stone crumbling and stuff goes on for like 30 seconds -_-
Never have had a problem with video nor sound for any of the wonders, and I've seen them all, numerous times, on several machines of varying quality.
Are you playing the original game, patched to version 1.5 ?
Moving this to Tech Help.

Can you play them from the folder? (data\fmv\wonders)
Make sure that you have the latest Windows Media Player software. Also do you have sound cards and do they have the latest drivers?

Its always worked fine for me on laptops with Intel graphics 6 7 and 8 series cards, an mx440 and a x600.. Install a codec pack like the XP codec pack or the CCCP codec pack. The CCCP is meant to be good but i have only just started using it so I'm not going to recommend it yet but I've used the XP codec pack allot and its a good once that works. You need codecs to allow sounds and video to play properly.
