loading screens in three parts

OK Guys,

Sorry for the mess-up but I'm hoping these files have now uploaded and attached. If it's worked, there should be 3 rar files containing custom loading screens. Don't know why it's taken a million years to upload this stuff.

Anyway, unzip the files and dump all the images (there are 10 custom loading screens in all) into your XGM/Data/loading_screen file if you want to use them ingame.

If you don't mind, I've collapsed them into one zip folder.

Not everyone has a .rar extractor (though they could get one for free.)

This is a great idea although some screenshots as a preview would definitely be nice... And thanks for the .zip Caeser, much easier than going to d/l WinRar.

Thanks for this. I just dashed off those loading screens as an exercise to see if I could do it. I'd like to have another try and, as you say, post previews too.

It would be good to have a kind of 'loading screen' library or archive, so that XGM players could assemble their own collection of fave screens.

As a personal preference, I like to see artwork, artefacts, buildings, statues etc., rather than screenshots from the game.

I'll do some more on this soon, when I have time.

Meantime, would still like to know how to remove the RTW title/logo stuff from the loading screens, in order to use 'Extended GreeK Mod' title.

I worked on some more loading screens. I wanted to post screenshots here but wasn't sure how. Someone told me I had to upload them at Imageshack and then post the URLs here. And so that's what I did. The URLs below relate to three separate images. I've no idea if this process has worked or not, as I've not done this before (to put this in perspective, my bald head predates the first home computer).

Anyway, if anyone manages to access these images, they should see some potential loading screens. And that brings me on to my next point:

I designed the loading screens with 'Extended Greek Mod' in nice Greek-style letters across the top. But RTW just puts 'Rome Total War' across the loading screens, as well as plonking a faction symbol in the middle. I'd like to remove the RTW logo/title if possible, and even the faction symbols, but don't know how. Someone did tell me, but even though I tried following his instructions, it didn't work. And that's probably my fault.

Anyway, good luck with the URLS/images. Here they are:

Can you remove the "ROME" bit and have XGM instead? Or is that not allowed?

Attached is a folder containing some custom loading screens. If anyone wants to use them, copy the files into XGM/Data/loading_screen. There are previews in an earlier post in this thread, but I'll post them again below. Finally, if anyone knows how to turn off the RTW title/logo stuff, I'd be grateful to hear, as I originally made these screens with 'XGM: Extended Greek Mod' lettering across the top. I'd also like to turn off the faction symbols on loading screens, if poss. Many thanks!
