Default having a bit of a problem with the AI in hotseat...

so I'm playing as both aragon and genoa in hotseat campaign, with "autoresolves battles" disabled... and I've noticed that in every battle, or siege especially, the AI runs to the back of the map and sits there while waiting for me to attack it, they especially do this in sieges and it's rather annoying. I have the 6.1 patch, and lusteds battle AI mod. the battle AI seems to work as it should in custom battles and I think it works ok in normal campaign.
    any help?

    Well wouldn't you?

Anyway, this is called Passive Ai, quite annoying. They'll do this if they have artillery mainly, I guess you could force them to attack by sending in a unit of peasants (worthless) - this will trigger the attack. Hope this helps,

    Siege battles.

The AI often will just send a ram to open the gate and wait for that to succeed before sending more troops forward to minimise casualties from troops on walls.

Also if it has artillery they will often fire until they have used up their ammunition and again the AI waits outside the range of the towers.

I've never seen the AI sit back when it is attacking at a siege battle. It's always doing something. The GB often wait until the last moment before committing themselves.

(Had big fun defending Lund from the Danes - they had a spy in the settlement - so did I but mine was useless) - they attacked with 2 armies and plenty of siege equipment - all four gates attacked at the same time - and had to whizz pikes around to deal with the intruders.)

if youre sallying forth on a beseiging army they might run to the edge of the map... after all youre the one attacking them and if it was you you would likely prefer to fight away from the walls too.
Its not the one with youre name on it, its the one addressed to whom this may concern you have to worry about
