    Default intallation with vista

    i cant install rome total war on my vista. i turned my uac off. i put the CD in then i go to computer them clicked on the SEGAROME file wich is the name of the disk. help!!!!!!!!

    You need to be more specific. What exactly happened when you tried to install? Btw I installed it fine, with UAC on.

    Do you have the original 3 CD-ROM version of RTW or a later version?

    i dont know i bought it from my friend but on the manual it says medieval total war coming fall 2006

    OK,make sure that the disk is clean. There are commercially available cleaning kits. These are also used for cleaning music CDs.

    If it looks clean and is not scratched try using it on another PC. If this can read the disk then the problem is with your CD-ROM drive.

    ok next plz that diiddnt work.i tried it in 2 pcs and one was xp.i also cleaned the cd

    I hate to say it, but it sounds like a bad disc. I would say you'd be better off getting your money back from him and buy your own copy.

    Unless the guy you bought it from is able to use the discs.... He then sold it in good faith. If it isn't then I'd re-evaluate your friend (being a friend)!
