Prologue
Summer, 229 BC. 94 years since the death of Alexander, and 20 since thedeath of my great-grandfather.
The Greeks have gone a long way in less than a century. My great grandfather made it so.
The Macedonians were crushed first. Sons of Alexander? Pah! We are the sons of Hercules! None stood before us! No, not even the people of Pontus. No, not the mighty maritime Carthaginians! They fell like a stag before the Molossian hounds! We took their capital, we took maighty Carthage, and we made it Greek!
The same thing happened to the Egyptians. Yes, they still live in the East. But there homeland is ours. Both Memphis and Alexandria are under proper Greek control.
Then the Romans came. They pillaged small villages with fire and sword, expecting there to be no consequences. Roman heads paid, and Roman corpses fed the carrion birds so much that they burst open when they tried to alight and fly away from the gruesome battlefield! The arrogant Scipii fell first. They besieged Syracuse, but were easily beaten back. They were not ready for a counterattack, and soon true civilization was present on the Italian Peninsula. Even the mighty Senate was made to kneel to the mighty Basileus!
The Romans of the north are still alive. But not for long. Only the Romans and Egyptians who were wise and came to our side by the power of gold, will survive. Gold will always win. Greek gold. This, I, heir to the house of Sparta, pledge to you.
This is my empire.

The empire is a wealthy one, and as the famous saying goes, gold makes things likewar go smoothly.[/I]
There are three fronts for conquest.
The Roman front is almost won. The Julii have only three provinces left, among them Marseilles and Iuvavum. A captain is holding the bridge through the Alps leading to Marseilles while Kaeso Pedius, a smart Roman, is marching to join him.
On the northern front, Euneus, a real Greek, is going to hazard the northern passes of the Alps to attack. He is slowly gathering reinforcements from the surrounding towns.[/I]
The Egyptian front is a dangerous one, with many full armies of teh dogs hovering about. Weakly defended, however, is teh island of Cyprus. Two turncoat Egyptians from Rhodes are sailing with a vast army to take it as I speak.[/I]
On teh northern barbarian front, things are almost too easy. The barbarian Thracian tribes are holed up in theri last town, and are besieged by a trustworthy captain. And another true Greek is marching on the fearsome Scythians with an army of armored hpplites and Scythian mercenaries.[/I]
Every true Greek will rejoice at these victories, and evry true Roman will quake with fear! The Greeks shall rule the world!!!!!!!!!!!!

LC you got a nack for writing AArs? seems like it.
Got nothing...
Chapter Two- TRAGEDY!
I am Anelious Phyros, a diplomat that was travelling with Pellias, who besieged Campus Scythii. The fact that I, not he, am writing this, should enlighten you to what happened.
Pellias attacked the minute he had built a battering ram to break down the walls.
The mercenary Thracian hoplites manned it and charged through the gates, killing the stationary horse archers.
They were overwhelmed by axemen, and the armored hoplites came to the gates.
They easily cleared away the barbarian warriors, and the brave Pellias was soon standing near the town square with a wall of spear points facing the barbarian Scythians.
The hoplites pushed on and on, and when the battle seemed won for sure, Pellias himself charged at the head of his bodyguard, and his horse was bitten by a war hound. He fell off his horse, and was covered in the slavering brutes. Nobody could help him. He was dead.
I myself took charge of exterminating the poulace, and this is written in the blood of Captain Kundurmabeg, the Scythian garrison commander.
The Greeks will rule the world.

I seem so manly!!
Good job Lc.
CHAPTER THREE-
The Storming of Cyprus
O Mighty one! I, Kiya, have sailed for three days before reaching Cyprus.
I besieged it immediately, and attacked at once, hearing reports of enemy reinforcements very close by.
We had no time to build rams or ladders, so I ordered the onagers in our possession to break down the gates.
We marched throught he streets unopposed until we came to the town square.
I ordered my hoplites to form a solid line, and put mercenary slingers and pirates behind them.
Finally his chariots charged, and were slaughtered by my wall of pikes without loss to my own men.
We took the garrison commander prisoner and executed him in the square.
Cyprus is yours, Basileus!
I have also received reports from Memphis that Iolaus of Aenus, the conqueror of Upper and Lower Egypt, is on the offensive agan. He has mustered an army and will besiege Jerusalem in a few month's time.
An unnamed captain is marching for the Armenian city of Kotais.
With these offensives underway, the Egyptians will surely collapse soon!
And the Greeks shall go to the ends of the earth!
