Stainless steel, won't run. please help

Hey everyone, im new here...

having issues when i install Stainless Steel mod, i have MTWII installed, with the kingdoms expansion, and the 1.03 patch. I'm running Vista Ultimate, and all drivers are up to date, with all updates for vista as well.

After i install Stainless steel 3.0, and then follow it with 3.2 it doesn't create a .exe, rather it gives me a Launch_Stainless_Steel.bat that when i run, opens a command prompt, now my buddy has the exact same setup as me and when he ran that .bat file it would boot up Stainless Steel. But for me, the command window quickly opens, then closes immediatly, and does not run the game. Nothing happens.

I was wondering if this is caused because i have version 1.03, the mod notes say it requires 1.02.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

try updating the game to 1.05, and try Stainless Steal 6.0 with the 6.1 patch.

didn't even know they had these particular versions, thank you very much Shadow8 i'll try that immediatly and post my outcomes.

np man, made a ton of cool improvments too. if this doesn't work head over to the SS hosted area on this forum and ask the guys there.

Yea, i probably should of put my post in that thread to begin with, just found it while searching for those versions of the downloads... i'm confident this will fix everything. got about 2 gigs of downloads so i'll know in 30 minutes or so.

It's been driving me mad cause stainless steel looks so cool.
