    Default Scipii and Africa

In all of my campaigns the Scipii take Sicily and then don't do anything but make massive armies at Campania. It get's frustating because it seems the AI doesn't know how to use ships. Some times they'll go for Sardinia but never Africa. It doesn't matter what faction I am they just sit there. I've seen the Greeks take a boat to Carthage and take it over before (:hmmm never Scipii. Why?

I'm playing Julii now, and Scipii doing exactly what you said.
(Hypothetically)Don't they like getting orders from Senate to take Carthage or something? So annoying. They just building stacks near Capua. Where do they have all that money needed to support such massive armies.

And also, Scipii takes Syracuse every time,
Greeks have big walls and power of phalanx, and not once they try to take Messina. I guess this sort of behavior is preloaded in AI.
I wish I could play Campaign vs Humans.

I'm playing as the Julii in my first ever game of RTW and the Scipii had taken pretty much all of Africa. I've almost taken all of it off them now though.

I think the problem is that the Scipii have to cross the sea to reach Carthage. (In most of my campaigns I saw that the Brutii walked through north Italy to reach Greece, for example.) You could try taking Carthage yourself and then gifting it to the Scipii, or you could use the move_character cheat to move one of their armies into Africa.

I've never seen the Scipii just getting themselves stuck in Campania and Sicily. In all my Vanilla campaigns, they've always moved down to Africa, though sometimes, it had taken as long as 20 years.

I usually have the same problem, especially as the other two Roman houses-the Scipii conquer sicily and then just kind of chill there for a year or 100
I'm assuming that there is some sort of way to fix this by digging through the game files-you should post this problem in the Mod Workshop to see if someone its possible to fix it.

I love playing the Scipii. Once you conquer the seas then you can go where you want to go and do what you want to do w/ easy to boarders to defend.

If you carry on playing the campaign long enough the scipii will make a move (very fast as well)

Man, that looks like a fun campaign. You'll be fighting an uphill battle against two very strong economies.

I would send three armies to Sparta, Corinth and Athens and take them in the same turn.

it mostly depends on what level youre on. the same thing happens when i play but i usually do vh/vh. i tried it on easy and med once out of curiosity and both times the scipii took all africa in the first 20 yrs. on h/h and vh/vh the scipii usually amass their armies by capua after capturing sicily and keep them there for the whole game. this is probably to make your eventual siege of rome alot harder cause the scipii send a ton of guys to kill you w/ SPQR. once u are outlawed you just have to outsmart them and entice SPQR and scipii to attack you across the tiber so u can anihilate them as they try 2 force a crossing instead of being bogged down in a long and costly siege of rome.
