    Prologue-

Ireland was once the only High Kingdom in the world, untill the 12th century when the Normans conquered the Emerald Isle. We attempted to overthrow them several times, but very unsuceessful, as we destroyed each other for land. But now in 1258 we are united under King Brian O'Neil the new King of Ireland.
    - Written by General Art O'Rouke of Ireland 1258 AD.

Chapter One- The Hardships of Independence

    Midday, somewere near Trim

Art O'Rouke stood atop the hill with his small army 110 men, the largest army Ireland could manage to send to Trim. It was summer, and a beautiful summer at that, but not something Art could enjoy, for he was a general under King Brian of Ireland.

"Sir!", Art turned to see one of his Retinue call to him. "We have spotted an English Army to the north!"
"Impossible," Art replied. "There is a revolt going on in trim, why would we be attacked?"
" I don't know sir, but our scouts belive they have three hundered men, triple our own army." The man said.
Art hopped back on his horseand then turned to see that the English were nearing, and fast. He felt sweat accumulate inside his armour. He then fliped his helm up and then adressed his army as hishorsed paced before them.
"The english are a' comin',"He began" So lets kick their purebred asses!!!" Art screamed as his men screamed with enlightenment, even the horses looked as though they had been filled with hapiness, with such a short speech. He then returned to his possition, to prepare for battle, fror he was in for a hell of one.

Midday, 5 klicks south of Derry

King Brian O'Neil, that was a title he would have to get used to. Brian O'Neil had recently been selected by the cheiftens of Ireland to become the new king, and he was happy to take the job so he could give the the English a good smacking. Something Brian was looking forward to at Derry as they liberated Uster from the English dogs.

Chapter two- Battle of Gaelic Hill

Damn it! Art thought as he saw the enemy came closer. He and his men retreated back to Gaelic Hill, a small hill, that was more like a bump, than a hill, that was used when the Irish were druids to grow plants of many forms. Art thought that if he were to die, he would die on a Gaelic wonder.

Art felt sweat fall from his brow as now the sun was a its high point. Art then adressed his army.

"Archers! Move up!"He ordered as the archers then moved before him." Don't fire until see the enemy's archers, then send those bastards back to hell!"

The archers began to fire, but the English fired back.

The battle unfolded with great promise, as the ceitherine's axes broke threw the dismounted feudal knights armour.

After 2 hours of Fighting, the English were dead, and no where to run. Art was proud, as he slew 10 men with his mighty blade. But then, he noticed something, the English general had dismounted, and was killing Art's archers. Art was mad. He then turned his horse around and raced to assist his men. As he came right up next to the general he dismounted in a summer-sault. He landed kneeling with his sword hin his hand. Art then got up and then ran to the General. In a split seccond the general turned to se Art head-but him. The man fell, and blood spewed from the helm. Art was delighted thinking he had killed the general, but then saw that he had gotten up, but was stagering. Art smiled, and then laughed "You English dog! Do you really think you can kill an Irishman?". The general then ran at Art. Art then got in his stance. Then the man swung his blade at Art, who blocked it easily with his own weapon. Art then kneed the man who leaned over, at which Art stabbed his blade threw the man's amour and threw his chest. The general fell, with a large clank. Art grinned and then looked up to see that his retinue had chased down fleeing Enlglishmen. Art smiled knowing he had forever etched his name in the hisory of Ireland's freedom.

    Battle-Heroic Victory
    Low casualties (amazingly )

Chapter One- The Kingdom of Muster-Cannaught.

Exerpt from the journal Prince Domanall O'Neil, heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Munster-Cannaught 1079 AD.

I sit at my desk today with one question buzzing through my head. Will I follow my Father? Or choose a new path? Many people believe I will follow in my fathers steps as a feared man, hence his title King Brian the Merciless. I do not know, Only time and Battle will tell.

Many do not know why my father is Merciless. The reason being, his father. His father, whose name a shalt not speak, was a kind man. But, he was cut down in his Prime by an English Man, King William the Conqueror he is called. My father was my age when England invaded, and my Grandfather was taken prisoner by William. My Grandfather asked from Mercy, as he knew that his grandson, me, was being born in a few daays, and he wished to see me. But William refused, and Executed.

So now my father gives Mercy to no one, as his father was given none. It chills my thoughts every time I think of It. But I go on with my life. I best be off, I will bid my father a farewell as he leaves to Rome Italy. Where he will be crown Defender of the Faith for his great Piety. Farewell.

    Prince Domnall O'Neil

    1080 AD
Domnall looked out across the the Castle of Galway from his Bedroom's balcony. He saw the sun rise over the rolling hills of Ireland. He smiled and then walked back through the doors behind him to his Bedroom. He then dressed himself in the best Clothes he had as he walked fro the Castle to the Fishing Village not far from the Castle to greet his father, who was returning home from Italy. When he exited the Castle he mounted himself on his horse, Galway, and he waited for his mother who took carefull steps out of the Satle with Severl Servants arounder for Assitance. She was Pregnant, and was soon to give birth, so she was put in a carrige, and so she, Domnall, and the Entire Royal Guard went down to greet the King.

They arrived about an hour later just to see the King leave the ship. The Carrige rode up to the ship as The Queen left the Carrige very slowly, but carefully. Domnall on the Other hand ran up to his father and wrestled him to the ground. The King laughed heartily as he pushed Domnall off off him and he got up. Domnal did as well and tehy shared an embraace.

"How are you my son?" King Brian asked as the embrace ended.

"Fine athair. How was Rome?" Domnall Replied as Queen Jill walked over to the King and they too shared an Embrace.

"álainn! Expecially the Popes Cathedral!" Brian replied and then he gesture to Domnall to his horse. Then Domnall ran to his horse as The King and Queen entered the Carrige and they travelled home, to learn some shocking news.

Was that good? It was more a prolouge than a chapter.

As I feared. That's Galway (I live there [here]), in Medieval times it was called Galwey, not Galaway. And there's no castle here. The castle is out in Athenry. And Galway was an outpost in 1080, not a settlement of any kind.

I guessed by the signature, the name, and date of birth. Aren't I clever.

Sorry for the Misspell, but in Stainless Steel Galway is a wooden Castle to start off, so I was not trying to be historicly accurate, I mean in 1080 There was still The High Kingdom of Ireland.

    Yes, quite.
