There's a cheat for this. I believe it's toggle_fow.

for my computer i hav 2 press @' button 4 the cheat console 2 come up, varies with language i think, then type in toggle_fow and the big wide world is revealed!

Because on a forum you have to wait for replies which takes much longer than google does.

I searched "medieval 2 fog of war" which took 0.24 seconds to get 88,000 results, of which the first result gives you the answer.

I use it to see the clear map.
