    Tamriel: Rise of Cyrodill
    We have a new site that we will be working from. We will still post progress here, but work from there. Clicky

    I am pleased to announce that the teams of Tamriel Total War and Oblivion Total War have merged!
    What does this mean? Well we are basically making an entire game for Tamriel, duh! We will also be including several mini-mods; including Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, and more. Of course, that will all come after our main release. We are trying to make this mod as accurate as possible. We want to bring this game to the Total War scene, a whole new gameplay.

    I like the sounds of this however it's going to be awkward to have all Oblivion factions on their own... if your going to do this it would be best to make them all in one faction or seperate them. E.g. North, South and Mid Cyrodil.

    start by searching all of the towns and cities for cyrodill. then pm that info to me, 10gb and the co-leader. -ejon

    Thanks for the info both of you, but if you have maps for all of tamriel that would be awesome. Also, ejon I had an idea about forts. With all the broken down forts, surely in wartime they would be restored as much as possible? Well, we could remodel the existing forts in Kingdoms and make them look broken down and a little smashed up. Just thought it would be an interesting feature

    Is it still going to be 2E 830?
    And heres the stuff about territories etc i posted in the ttw tread

    starting pos(for 2E 830 if it still was going to be that)
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 
    Valenwood and the summerset isles should both belong to the aldmeri dominion.

    The cyrodilic empire should only control the colovian estates(colovia exept anvil and stirk) with the faction leader cuhlecain they hadn´t taken the Ic yet. The remnants of the reman empire should control the ic. And different dukes controling Bravil, Leyawiin, cheydinhal and bruma.

    The elsweyr confederacy should control elsweyr but only one shore of the xylo river they captured the other shore in the five year war with valenwood they should also have control of an area a little closer to Lejiawin than shown in the oblivion map becuase they lost those areas during the 3 era.(they must have moonsugar warriors)

    High rock should be split into several factions but if you decide to only do one it should be wayrest or daggerfall which are the 2 largest and most importatant cities in the area both with more than in 100 000 inhabitants the cities they get their name from. Not recommended to only make one faction.
    MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAT HAVING A SPLIT CYRODIL BECUASE ONLY ONE CYRODILIC FACTION REALLY DID ANYTHING:

    the kingdom of Hammerfell should rule all of hammerfell.

    The kingdom of morrowind should be in control of morrowind with the capital of Almalexia(later known as mournhold) and by some way maybe you can show their intresse in northern argonia.

    Skyrim is divided in 9 holds and each hold is like a city state either you could make the most powerfull or just play them as united for the sake of gameplay.
    Also more important split than cyrodil.

    Orsinum should rule over orsinum which is just north of wayrest and be hated by all.

    Don´t really know about argonia.

    Now that's a great step towards getting your map together. I recommend you all get a working ingame map before you approach with the idea of a subforum. You will need to show some ingame content to be considered for a subforum and a map is a great way to show that the mod is progressing.

    we might not need a subforum. i can see if i can get one with the site. but i can't promise anything. 10 gb, i can model the broken fortress. its going to be on the campaign map only right? im going to be modeling the city models for the campaign map. if there is anything else we need for the map, let me know. we mainly need mappers. we also need a coder who can do the game menu. meaning the .exe to work, and get the main screen working. so the main job right now is - recruit mappers and coders, research the map information,weather types for each region, etc. so lets get to work, -ejon

    BTW, gobbo thanks for all that info, its brilliant that map that you have got. I take it the first one is where the roads will be? It looks that way. I think that the last thing that needs doing is finding a geographical map so the mapper has all the info needed.

    The first map is just the map i found and shows the locations and sizes of settlements and roads its from the imperial-library. The second one is the same with not needed stuff removed and territory borders added.

    Here´stopographical map not so good but the best i could find.(map first posted by ravenous)

    Also there is this map(not very good but shows mountains a little better than a large grey area)

    The goty morrowind map showsvvardenfells mountains pretty good


    Also You didn´t say if its still 2E830 as a starting date.

    Cropsford and Pells Gate are a must for Cyrodil because they both have a good TW role. Both settlements want to expand whereas Hackdirt prefers the way it is.

    Hackdirt should have a mining bonus and Cropsford a farming bonus if you still get them in MTW.
