Hi I'm relatively new to MIItw and have been playing it while reading the posts on this great forum.All was well playing as England I had defeated the Scots and was working on France when after all the good advice i had gleaned I decided to start again on max difficulty.Was doing better untill I took Edinbrugh to wipe out Scotland and after I had decided to sack it unspicified error annoucement came up and the game shut down.Tryed again and the same thing happened.I've tried different settings and my perevious campaign and every time I take the last city no matter what I do it shuts down

.Any ideas anyone?

How do I fix that I've uninstalled and re installed.

You are using any mod? This think happens only in that town?
Try again with a new campaign. Maybe the save file is corrupted.

No it's an unmodded game.The error seems to occur when I'm wiping out a faction because it happened when Edinburgh was the last settlement and when it was Inverness.I've taken other cities on this saved game and they were fine.I went back to my previous campaign where i had taken all of Scotland to the saved game just before I took Edinburgh and the unspecified error happened on the previously fine game.

Have you tried updating to version 1.2? Otherwise it's a bad install and a file is messed up like the medieval2.exe itself.

It sounds exactly like file corruption, for which there is no cure

. So you're gonna have to start a new game, sorry.

Thanks for the help.I've reinstalled updated to 1.2 and started the campaign again.If it keeps happening I'll just have to play around it.Once again thanks for your help and advice.
