Once again I have came to annoy the basement and ask more questions. How does this build look? See anything wrong or junk? I'm fairly confident I that I have it 100% down, but I just wanted to have some outside input.

I plan on overclocking the Q6600 to 3.0 GHz and getting another video card to run in Crossfire when I get the money. This appears to be a future proof setup to me. Thoughts or opinions are needed though.

Nice are you going for a 64 bit operating system, if not get less.4 gigs is useless in 32 bit OS. As for everything else looks nice. Also what is monitor?

Yes, 64-bit is what I'm going for. Still haven't picked out a monitor yet.

Everything seems go. If you have an old Sound card, that works, use it. I don't know if any of the p45's come with on board sound or if it does, there might be a chance that it won't have drivers for 64 bit. But, I'm pretty sure you can handle it.

I don't know if you have experience building computers, but here are a few tips:

    1. Remember to install the little standoffs in the case, the motherboard can't actually make contact with the case. I nearly learned this the hard way.

    2. Give yourself at least 4 hours, that's how long it took me.

    3. Wear an anti-static wrist strap, no need to fry anything worth hundreds.

    4. Don't throw out any boxes or manuals. You never know when you might need them.

I'm glad to see people are more willing to build their own PC's these days. It allows great customization and it really does show how much you care for your hobby. Quite honestly, you aren't a gamer until you've built your own PC IMHO.

When I get more cash what's the best RAID array to go with once I get about 4 Hard drives? Hardware or software?

EDIT: WTF! My PSU price went down by $6 in one day. My Video card went up about $10. My Motherboard went up $10. Lastly my case went down $10 to 99.99. Newegg is spying on me...
