    Default Missing File?

A couple days ago, my computer crashed, and when rebooted, it recovered "all" files, but it was as if I was booting it up for the first time (it needed personal info, computer name, etc.). Now the mods I downloaded for M2TW (SS and Lands to Conquer) won't work, saying a file is missing called d3dx9_30.dll. It says re-installing the programs will fix the problem, but I've reinstalled them all four times now and they still won't work. Can anyone help me?

Okay, I solved the original problem (I'm retarded and didn't know M2TW and Kingdoms needed to be reinstalled) but now I get an "unspecified error" when I try to run the game. I looked at the system.log and saw that four files are missing (the game is on my other computer with bad internet so I can't put it up here right now) mostly regarding "diplomacy speech" or something.

For reference I have the Stainless Steel Mod 4.0 and 6.1 as well as Lands to Conquer Gold.

    EDIT: Here's the system log:

The log file does not have any error. Maybe something with a driver?

It's a directx9 driver. Reinstall directx before reinstalling M2TW and Kingdoms.

Are you sure there's nothing wrong with the log file? It says a few files are "missing."

I reinstalled DirectX when I reinstalled the game. I have no idea what's causing this new error though

I was directed to a site to directly download DirectX 9.0, but it's still not working. Apparantly files are still missing and I can't find their "folders" (if they exist) in any of the game files.

However, I was also directed to upgrade my graphics card drivers. How exactly do I do that?

If you have an nvidia card go to www.nvidia.com and try to find the latest driver pack that matches your card. If ATI, go to www.amd.com.
