    Default BI Legion Names

The legion names in BI just keep counting upwards,
even if you lost the named legion before that?
For example if you have Legio I and then you lose it, the next being trainded will be Legio II,
and if you lose that, the next one (and only one) will be Legio III.

In IB not only first cohorts have a legio name, so theres going to be quite high numbers.

I'm afraid this is hard coded. So you may find in a long campaign having a legio XII!!.

One option is to delete the legionary name found in the edu file.

For IJV3.0 I'm not sure whether to include legionary names or to just simply name the unit using the export_units file.

I'd be happy to hear thoughts from people on this.

    Cheers

How about having one unit, that you only can train in regional capitals,
    that has a legionary name.
Then, if you build one of them, they will go with legion one.
The next one will stay with legio two.
If the legion gets destroyed, it is only right that the legio name does not come again.

This is pretty much hw it was in vanilla BI, I think.
Where only first cohorts have a legionary name. And they will name the whole legion following with it.

    And another thing.
I noticed that the romans in IJ2 have around 100 units.
That seems to be because of the 100-unit-limit in EDB.
But I added some units and it seems to not be a problem in the campaign.
Couldn't the romans have a lot more units in IJV3.0 then?

I guess I make them not have a legionary name then.

Can I change the 'Legio' to 'Cohors'?
So it will say Cohors II, for example.
I guess not, the 'Legio' seems to be ardcoded too.

As for IJV3.0, my suggesion would be to either have it the way it is now,
if the Legio XII's don't annoy you.
Or don't have legion names and name them differently.

Afraid not. The BI engine only recognises legio.

Since I'm giving suggestions for IJV3.0, I would like to add this.
Have factions have some more family members.
I have strong factions turn to rebels all the time because I kill their family members.
And I don't even try to.
Also they won't horde if you get all their family members, which really is a bore.

    Cheers.

I assume you mean more family members for the non roman factions?

    Yes right, sorry.

I locked into it and many of the small non-roman factions have one or two family members of age.
And they dont get adoptions because those factions have very few settlements.
They have some more nor of age family members, but with the four turns per year it will take a while until they are any use to them.
    Like 40 turns.
And within that time you as the romans fight enough battles with them to kill those two family members.
