2h Weapon Infantry fighting bare-knuckle

Ok, i've looked through the forum and not found anything on this subject, even though I remember seeing a thread with a title something like this a few days ago, so here goes.

Is this a new thing with SS? or is this a M2TW:K bug? In my last battle on the Lithuanian campaign, both my Ducal Axemen and my Mercenary Axemen had a few unfortunate members who were fighting unarmed.

How do I go about fixing this?

they were probarbly manning a siege equipment at the start of the battle...

ive noticed that if i have a unit manning one and then just orders it to drop it in the setup, they sometimes dont have their weapons there...
it seems to help if you move them around in the setup...
