Re: Chivalry to Dread, vice versa
i think its a game mechanic that responds do to you ordering him to do something that contradicts his beliefs, ive never had that happen to me but i prefer to play my characters based on how they start

Re: Chivalry to Dread, vice versa
Well basically i discovered this happening on my spanish campaign, then i tested it on a byz campaign. I get tired of waiting for the moors settlements to slowly convert before taking a settlement and if i exterminate some cities that general loses loyalty which is rather annoying.
Only reason i ask is because i thought there might be another reason. guess only solution would be to not use a general at all and exterminate cities that way..... bound to get a dreaded general i guess.

Re: Chivalry to Dread, vice versa
Well you could give him the privy seal
(retinue) - That'll make him loyaler.
Also, you can gain dread from battles too, if you kill all routing enemies, or exterminate - this won't affect the loyalty as much either.

Re: Chivalry to Dread, vice versa
i have tried the privy seal and it didn't do much, he eventually lost all loyalty. The problem isn't gaining dread, i can gain a few marks of dread in 2 turns. It's just keeping him loyal when he changes from chivalry to dread

If you want to add an ancillary or to increase trait to a general, have a look in the cheats thread to find the way to increase loyalty
There is only one Macedonia in the world and it is GREECE
