Thanks

She was no ordinary girl, Oh Inverted World
Don't worry about the world ending today, it's already tommorow in australia
rep me, I rep you.
Well, the three possibilities that I know about are rather obvious:
- use the ingame speed-up system (I guess that's not the problem)
- upgrade your computer
- lower the games settings
I haven't heard about any other possibility to speed up the game in any way up to now.
Btw, if you're using some complex mods (meaning: a lot of scripts running) it can severely slow down your game. I got that problem with Deus Lo Vult for M2TW (though not that much) and with EU for RTW for example.
Lots and lots of RAM can help. Set graphics low. Get rid of shaddows. I think the smoke in city battles creates a lot of lag.
Moved to Technical Help.
Build your own computer with the parts purely for gaming. Fastest motherboard front side bus, fastest processor it will take, all the ram it will hold, as many of the fastest video cards that you can put in SLI or Crossfire mode, fastest harddrive, fastest dvd reader, water cooled case, lot of fans, and the only things on your harddrive are the operating system and the game.
-If you surf the web, try cleaning up your machine with an antivirus program.
-If you have 1GB or less and are running XP or higher, get another stick of RAM.
-If it has been a while since you cleaned up your HDD, do a clean and then defrag.
-Try turning down settings in M2TW video options.
-If none of that helps, you might need a machine upgrade. Try the gamers's machine build, or hot rod build in "ARS Technica" (Google it to find the web site).
I hope that helps.
