    Default Simple Xbox 360 question

how old do you have to be to turn off those damn family settings, I just turned 17 and now i can buy M-Rated games all i want but the family settings are still grayed out so i can't disable them and it restricts me from downloading demos that are unrated but obviously below the M rating... it's making me angry and i thought turning 17 would allow me to turn it off..

Should of been smarter and put a fake birth date... (just turned today so i don't know if i have to wait till the next day)

EDIT:NVM i found out on the Xbox Forums, i have to be 18 to download M-Rated demos but i can be 17 to buy the full retail game... that makes a lot of sense right? am i right??

Aaah child protection, we should be glad its there. Imagine if we had all played GTA when we were kids, what would the world be like? Microsoft is protecting you from only partially corrupting your impressionable young mind. Besides, if you're purchasing games online I'm sure your debit card would have your age details on it so lying wouldn't be an option.

the irony is that now i can buy M-Rated games, GTA and all those, but i just can't download the demo of it on the marketplace because of the child protection

My son plays GTA San Andreas and he's 6. I won't let him play or watch Manhunt though. You've got to draw the line somewhere.
