What distance units does this game use? For example, the arquebus has a range of 120, how many real life meters is that?
Thanks.

Since CA is a British company my guess would be meters...

In Soviet Russia you want Uncle Sam.
the british dont use the metric system -.- they still measure things in inches, feet, pounds etc etc... so its more likely to be feet rather than meters
120 feet is about 40 meters, which seems about right (it takes the enemy about 40 steps to reach you while they run, and u cant get more than a single, maybe 2 shots once they start runnin towards you)
There is nothing that can match the exuberance of youth.... except of course, wisdom and treachery.
Erm, we actually use a bastardised version of the metric system.
Meters is more common than feet, litres more common than pints (as far as I'm aware, the only things that come in pints now are milk and beer) and kilograms instead of pounds, but we do still use miles over kilometers.
You're kidding, right? Yeomen Archers have a range of 160. 160 feet is ~53 meters. You're telling me that this
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
is 53 m? That looks like at least 2 Olympic-sized swimming pools can be fit into the space between the soldiers. Perhaps they use yards, but certainly not feet.

120 seems more likely to be feet, as even Napoleonic muskets weren't effective at 120 yards.
I thought it was illegal in England for the longbowmen to practice at a range of less than 100 yards - or was it 200 yards. It was also illegal to kill a cat and to transact business on Sundays. Good old laws.
Apparently it's still illegal to die in the House of Parliment.
I wonder what they'd do if you did drop down dead in there, slap some 'cuffs on you and call the rozzers?![]()
It was something over 200 yards yes, but practice range is different than battlefield range. On the real medieval battlefield, the horse archers shot at 50m, foot archers at ~75m and muskets at ~100m. Even at these ranges accuracy was poor.
I see, that makes sense.the british dont use the metric system -.- they still measure things in inches, feet, pounds etc etc... so its more likely to be feet rather than meters

No, all your chattel (excluding wife) is escheat to the king. Also, you lose your pension (which if you had died at home you could have kept getting until age 120).
Damn, and I wanted to spend my post-death pension, post-death.![]()
