    Icon3 New skins and suggestions for the Mongols!!!

    First of all i want to ask Broken Crescent team for permission to post this thread here and second this is not official update for BC or its modders,it is only a suggestion.

    BC team have announced that for 1.5 version there will be no new units or skins(esspecially for Mongols) which i found somewhat dissapointing but nevertheless i found some great unused skins.These skins were created by Vlad for his Mongol/Tatars mod but this mod is far away from release and i think its a such a waste of potential and realistic gameplay to still play BC on vanilla Mongol skins.

    If you agree with me all you have to do is to simply extract this file in your BC data and you can start enjoining how the Mongols are destroying your campaign and empire but this time it is much more fun to watch.

    P.S.
    I want to use this opportunity to adress some issue on Horse archers battle formations in BC.First of all there aren't any...because of all that i started researching and i found this:

    In a typical Mongol battle formation, the tulughma, five ranks were spaced at wide intervals, two heavy cavalry ranks in the front and three light cavalry ranks to the rear. The heavy cavalry, comprised of warriors with complete armor protection on both man and horse, was armed with swords, lances with hooks on the ends and maces. The more mobile light cavalry wore no armor and carried bows, javelins and sabers for hand-to-hand fighting. Once in formation and ready for a fight, the pounding of large war drums carried on the backs of camels signaled the attack. The pounding noise of the drums was quickly overwhelmed by the ferocious screams of charging Mongol horse archers. The battle usually began with the two units of light cavalry sweeping around both ends of the tulughma to harass the enemy flanks as he advanced. Horse archers would ride in, fire a deadly volley of arrows, turn and disappear, then reappear just as suddenly to continue the assault. As the enemy drew closer, the third light cavalry unit charged forward through the heavy cavalry into the front lines to overwhelm the enemy with arrows and javelins. Once the enemy ranks collapsed in disorder, the light cavalry retired back through breaks in the front lines and the heavy cavalry charged in for the kill. Horse archers continued to harass and demoralize the enemy until he finally gave up. Only after wearing down the enemy and his horses by repeated charges did the Mongols ever fight at close quarters.

    Just wondering, are you guys working on a rebalance for the Mongol units for 1.5? AS well some of their units like peasant archers and spear militia are redundant units from the game.

    Ok Miraj i forgot about that.
    You can use these skins right away,just copy them in to your Broken Crescent data folder(together with Scotland skins).It will do no harm do the game.Try it.

    The battlefield banners of the Mongols look great! Some skins are a bit too much red to my taste, but that is first impression.

    I think this is the right place to point this out but I think the mongol hordes that invade are too much armoured and too much mongolian. The mongolian army that invaded Khwarezm Shah were, according to what I've read, neither that heavily armoured or as mongolian as the game represents. In fact after the Khwarezm Shah was defeated the turkic population of the regions increased because of the large amount of turkic units used in the invasion. But I am sure that the team will make great mongols ready to 2.0. Will recheck this later afor spelling s I am drunk now
