    Default Quality control

Having had the game about six months now and observed the number of posts referring to bugs, crashes etc. etc. in this forum and having experienced them myself I am given to ponder.... why does anybody bother?

I am glad these people don't write the software for commercial airliners.

Can anybody reccommend a game one can play without the interminal interuptions that one experiences in this?

Unless you have an old computer with DOS 3.0, a CGA monitor, and a game on a 720kb floppy, no.

    Thanks Irishron

The implication being that the larger games now produced to take advantage of improved technology make it impossible to debug in any meaningful way before release?

Like I said.. airliners come to mind

Remember Apollo 13 had less computing power than you have on your desktop. Also, when Apollo 13 blew out its fuel tank, it took every university computer in the US, that was on what was the world wide web in those days, tied together to get the figures for the burn time and trajectory to get that capsule around the Moon.

True. Apollo 13 had less computing power onboard than some people now have in their digital wrist watch.

    Guys

Apollo 13 was a mechanical failure. If the software they were running had as many bugs as this game they wouldn't have got of the ground. My point is why can't they debug before they release.

Nice to hear from you all anyway

Malcolm, a frustrated Malcolm, cos it seems it could be a great game but for the constant crashes.
