    Default The teutonic order dilemma

    Greetings fellow SS addicts,

Im currently playing a teutonic campaign on vh/vh and have a real problem with my family members. I do have about 10 settlements but only 5 generals, while only the factionleader can actually recruit units and most of the generals are rather idiots. Im using byms mod with his fix yet it still gives me serious headake. Generally i always disaproved the fact that you never have enough generals for every settlement + armies but this is somewhat unplayable.

Id like to have much more random events, the order should never lack of nobility eager to join their cause even if they suck. Im fighting the danes for about 40 turns now, they keep sending stacks to take gotland, currently the 4 th time and they always have at least a 7 star general commanding them. I really wonder where they get them from.

As the mod certainly changed the vanilla settings, id like to ask where i can edit the event rate for generals without messing the mod up.

    Thanks

    Aradiel

There is a hardcoded family member:regions controlled ratio. Try conquering a few more regions and you should get some more adoption requests.

I'm currently playing the TO, also, and had that problem early in the campaign. I had seven regions and only four generals. Then (oddly about the same time I could start building generals at my Baron's stables) I started getting plenty of adoption requests. I also have gotten three Men of the Hour while hunting rebels with militia. I rarely get even one in other campaigns, but THREE. That's cool.

And yeah, Gotland is a bear to hold (but fun and RICH.) I took Kalmar, Uppsala and Nykoeping and gave them to the Polish, my allies. That was the end of my Visby/Gotland problem.

if you get an adoption or man of the hour, you can decline and you will get one next turn if you are willing to gamble on a better general

Also, the AI gets an automatic +3 command star bonus i believe

Have you all ever played TO late era campaign SS 6.1 using lasted Real Recruitment 1.0 + Total Combat 1.2 + Byg Grim 2.5?

Marvelous...It is really hard...You even may be kicked out by Lithuania. I used to lost to Lithuania in the first game (about 10 turns), my faction was destroyed..hix..hix..
RR 1.0 make our recruitment to be very slow, it takes many turns for a militia unit. Damn it, TO has only 2 settlements at beginning, has money but can not recruit... so die!!! I must re-play the second game and win.
