    Default Odd year bug

i've had this for a while but, i understand that every two turns is 1 year in game. now, every turn is two years in my game. im not sure when this started but its been going on for a while and im not sure what to do about it, its just annoying.

It is set by default in vanilla as two years per turn because of the complaints in Rome Total War. It still takes two turns, summer and winter, for a character to age one year. In the descr_strat.txt you can change turns to years and amount of turns per year.

Why would complaints about Rome's time scale prompt them to make turns even longer? You'd think they'd shorten it.

Rome was originally two turns per year. Then someone figured out with a script to make it four turns per year. I was too busy being domesticated to pay attention to a lot of what was said at the time, but the main complaint was taking too long for Marian reforms, being able to recruit post Marian troops, just generally taking too long to get anything accomplished. Programmers being who they are in Medieval went overboard the other direction in my opinion.
