    Default Eternal Damnation: Part I

Assuming Eternal Damnation is a place where you suffer infinite misery in an infinitesimal time period for all of eternity with no hope of getting out, would you go there for the person that you loved most (wife/girlfriend etc)?

    Before you vote consider this:

Since you are in infinite misery you would not even be allowed to know that you did infact save that person from the state of unimaginable misery you are now in.

    please answer honestly!

No I would definetly not if it was my girlfriend. If it was my wife 50-50. If its blood related family then maybe.

Nobody would. The very fact that the person could never even know that they made the sacrifice for a loved one would nullify any chance that the behavior would be taken. Behavior with no possible chance for "any" reward, in any way, shape, or form, cannot be engaged in. I don't care what anyone says, for under such stipulations, nobody would or could. It is just self-glorification to ever think you would.

That's a hard one. I would to save, lets say, humanity, or a species. But for one person? I don't know.

Nope. For a family member I would have a dilemma but a girlfriend, out the window and a wife I amn't sure. Family first for me.

An option "I don't believe in a hell" would have been nice.

It's a lot more fun to be evil in life, and therefore, if I was righteous and would be able to not be damned, I would never choose to BE damned for anyone because that would mean that my life sucked, AND my eternity would suck.

If it meant that the world would also have to endure the pain as I do, I think I might murder the person I love.

Jesus said "Greater love has no one than this, that he gives up his life for his friend". I believe there would never be the possibility that I could suffer Hell for someone else--but in the hypothetical situation that I could suffer hell for someone else, I wouldn't do it. No matter how much I loved the person.
