    Default Downloading Now......

So how is DLV 5.7? I've always wanted to try this mod because of it looks, etc. The thing that I am worried about is that i know that it uses a script system, and i have 2GB of Ram, is that enough? I also seen that it has a good flavor of RPG, so i have to try this mod.

As far as i know you should have no problem with 2 gigs, may be with larger battles and stuff..but im not sure...i tell you..give it a try...the worse it can happend its that you cant play it (though i doubd it) and have to unistall...but..as far as mods concerns..for me its the best mod for medieval II.

With Winxp 2 gigs are plenty, don't worry.

Well if you start playing this mod with version 5.7 you are up to hell of a ride, new point system, new buildings, slightly more aggressive AI...

Try reading the hints thread I made, lots of good stuff to find there for a "noob".

Nah, won't be hard, just a little bit confusing in the beginning.

Furin, you joker... DLV is harder than original MTW on VH.

The most frustrating feature is the complete lack of comfort zone (unless you play Venice in Historical Campaign) and the feeling of constant struggle. You think you doing ok cos you've just defeated that pesky rebel stack and you're finally in the black? Worry not. I finally took Southampton after 35 turns and wiped out the rebels in Hampshire only to find that next turn my king died, happiness in London dropped to 65% and two (!!) rebel stacks appeared promptly sieging Nottingham. On top of that I had a Devastating Summer, Disaster on Your Roads and Negative Events at Your Mine. Oh, also, my carefully pampered priest turned rogue and if that wasn't enough my merchant got done in by a moorish one.

Did I give up? No sir! I'm playing this very campaign still (turn 324) and only one other campaign in my TW career comes even close to this one (a Mori camp on VH in the original STW).

DLV is seriously hard on VH and requires a lot of patience and grit but is fantastically rewarding. Playing 5.7 tonight - downloaded and installed before going to work and I'm itching to play it!!

Very hard/ very hards the way to go in DLV. It can be a great challenge especially with some of the smaller factions. Especially Norway with its castle capital and very low profit settlement. Very rewarding.

Thats why when it comes to DLV you play on M or E lol. I tried it yesterday and it was awesome, I played as Spain but the rebel stacks were really affecting my settlements.

Once you get the hang of it you will want to play VH/VH, the units are balanced for that setting. AI aggresiveness is still an issue in DLV especially on the easier settings. It can get complacent until the Dark Ages kick your ass... VH/VH is definitely the way to go.
