Hey Lads I just thought i would share this with u all just came across this kick ass Free half life 2 Mod just tried it today an after playing for 2 hours i felt the need To start playing SS again

Take a look an if u got steam an HAlf life 2 U should try it out its really just a simple Big time Close combat Medieval madness with fun maps its a rather new mod i think an we could use alot more people so if u sometime feel the need to get Down with the poor footmen of your SS army this is the way to go

That's pretty cool, to bad any game with the first person view gives me a headache and I feel like I have to throw up. Movies like Cloverfield and Blairwitch Project did the same. I can't stand them even though they are good ideas, the only one I was able to play after getting used to it was Golden Eye for the N64, best game ever!

hl2 is a lag fest. Very poor net code.

An actual net match would probably consist of bunny hopping circle strafing hack hack hack madness.

I see this maybe aint the place to promote a First person Hack n slash game ..... :hmmm:

Anyways.. Well The bunny jumping isnt an option since your stamina will dry out an u will be left unable to attack or make a run for it.... when it comes to hacks i dont think u will notice any... this aint the same Counterstrike kiddies u come up against

About the lagg well.. It runs on the source engine as u can clearly see on the trailer but if u have a real old pc u just gotta type -dxlevel 80 in your game option the lagg u talk about i only notice that when i play on a Us server im from the EU try Type fps_max 100 in your console or play around with your rates

That video is good but it cant look like that when playing?

It looks like an updated version of oblivion. (Without the Fantasy theme, of course.) I dont know, not alot to go on in the vid.

Is it worth buying Half-Life 2 for that mod? I don't really have any interest in HL but that mod seems sweet.

I play Mount&Blade which is pretty much like that mod and I love it!

You can only play in first person right?

How does the blocking and slashing work? Do you block manually with your mouse or is it automatic?

Um, do you know of any ingame video?

The trailer is the real deal it does look like that ingame

u block Manually with your mouse u got 3 diffrent attack mode

Mod looks sweet. I might download it since i got HL2 / STEAM

But if you really want kick ass close combat games. Try this game : DARK MESSIAH

I've never played such excellent close-combat game with swords/staffs/shields/daggers and other very cool weapons. You can become 3 different type of dudes. A Warrior, Wizard or an Assasin.
But its possible to mix those types. So you can be like 50/50 warrior and wizard.
