Finished my first campaign

So I just finished a Short Campaign with Egypt and I have to say it's easily the best campaign I've ever played. Victory conditions were: Own 30 regions, destroy Templar Knights.

The campaign was full of awesome full stack battles against Templars, Byzantine Empire and Hungary. I did lose about 1/4 of those big fights.
It also included two crusades against my capital Cairo. Fortunately 2nd one was 4 turns before I won, so I had to hurry.
The Black Death destroyed my great economy for a while, had -10000 at one point. Fortunately it didn't last long.

Even though Egypt can make lots of money and armies, I still had lots of trouble; The Templars did put up a good fight and their last Castle fell to a Jihad, Byzantine Empire was the toughest but they were ruined after Hungary took their Capital, Later the Hungarian/Byzantine alliance fought numerous battles against me.

Now it's time to go for Scotland. I'm expecting a lot different game than the last one.

heh, yeah those egyptians sure are hard to beat... im facing them with my HRE army right now... was on a crusade towards jerusalem when the templars took it, and i was stranded with two full stacks near sahara... so i took the two settlements along the coast and started a new crusade on alexandria (had really good standing with the pope).
now alexandria is defended by ~200 men (yeah... thats all thats left of a full stack now) and i also have another fort just east of alexandira with about half a stack holding it...

now i just need to live long enough to build up some forces there...

but those egyptians are sure making it hard on me...

Although almost every campaign I play is a long campaign the short ones have actually been the most fun in my experience. The long ones turn into a marathon after about 25 regions.

Short campaign is just the right size. If it was a Long I would just stop playing it by 30 regions anyway but it feels better when you actually win than just quit.
