True Rebellion
After playing the Roman Rebels for awhile, i noticed that they have alot of stuff a rebellion shouldnt have, like...organized troops? Would it be possible to give them more rebel like troops, such as "Salvaged Hastaii", a unit with the equipment of said troop, but none of the skills. Later they could get "Rebel 'Unit'", which has the skills but is agressive and prone to charging like a barb.
I had a whole list of units that could be used. Would make an interesting provincial camp.

Re: True Rebellion
The Roman Rebels are compared by the Roman civil wars. Then the generals had well organized armies just like the Roman Rebels have.
For example Sulla vs Marius, both with very professionel armies.

Re: True Rebellion
There not Rebels so much as what TM has described, organized Roman opposition. There useful in the Civil War provincial campaign that CaeserVincens is creating. What you have described is pretty much the slaves faction (normal rebels): disorganized and ineffective.

Re: True Rebellion
Rebels with more roman esque types. Think Logically who would join a Rebellion vs Rome:
Some Highly trained units
Local Barbarians and smaller tribes
Political Rivals (Carthage, Greece and Egypt?)
For example, they could have some hodgepodge mix of Hoplites, Samnites, Gladiatiors, Gaulish Warbands and , if lucky, Infantry from Carthage. Rebels are just everything.

Re: True Rebellion
No you think wrong. Who were fighting against each other in the Roman civil wars? Marius and Sulla, Caesar and Pompey, Octavianus and Antonius. They all had strong armies.
But who were the Roman Rebels? The Populares were the Roman Rebels and the Optimates were say theRoman Empire.
Now where do these six men belong?
Marius and Caesar were Populares and Sulla and Pompey were Optimates.
Octavianus and Antonius did not belong to a group because they already were the leaders of their part of the Roman Empire.
Now army facts.
Marius had a strong/experienced and profesional army. Sulla had the same. Caesar's army was strong/experienced and profesional, as was Popey's.
Neither general of the Populares (Roman Rebels) had a weak army. They were all trained well. Most of the times even better then the Optimates.
So the Roman Rebels should have(and have) the same professionel armies as the Roman Empire.

Re: True Rebellion
Actually the "rebels" (Marius, Caesar) usually had better armies than the optimates (Marian legionaries and Caesar's veteran legions), making the whole point moot.

Re: True Rebellion
Rebels can be highly organised and have very good equipment. For example, the X-Wing is greatly superior to the Tie Fighter.

Romans can't recruit Samnites from a Barracks! Roman rebels can!
