    Default Istvan

What's the deal with him. Am I missing something here? Stat wise he's nothing special. Why is everyone obsessed with him? Since I highly doubt he's Saint Stephen, what's the real picture?
"When I lead my army against Baghdad in anger, whether you hide in heaven or in earth, I will bring you down from the spinning spheres; I will toss you in the air like a lion. I will leave no one alive in your realm; I will burn your city, your land, your self. If you wish to spare yourself and your venerable family, give heed to my advice with the ear of intelligence. If you do not, you will see what God has willed." -Hülegü, the "Destroyer of Baghdad"

Its because people spam-use him lol. You can do it to any general if you keep using him again and again .

how dare you blasphemer! Nah really its because he starts out with more command stars then most generals, hes right in the middle of the map so alot of factions can marry off to get him, and he does seem to get really good really quick.

He's just a random name without any historical background. But he starts with a lot of command stars for someone without one.

But yeah, its just a cult thing that grew.

Istvan is a fairly common name, but there isn't really any General called Istvan that was his age at the start date of 1080. Or at least, I havent found one.

It's the closest match I was able to find, hence the question mark in my post.

i think most of the non family member generals are not based on actual people, with certain exceptions of course like El Cid.
