Hear that percussion? Forget about full-on synth melodies that every other genre uses as a crutch. The percussion is the melody.

However, classical techno would really be something.


And though I seldom listen to a lot of techno, I can definitely understand the appeal. I have an analog modeling synthesizer/sequencer that I bought for adding Moog sounds in rock music that my friends and I played around at recording, but I really tripped myself out once just sitting there playing with it for a while making subtle alterations to the tone and rhythm.. it's like it plays havoc with certain neurons and induces a trance... guess that's why they call some of it trance
