Should I buy Kingdoms or wait till Empire?

Over the course of playing M:TW 2, I really enjoyed the campaign, and I was wondering if I should get Kingdoms.

I really like infantry units, (Offline, lets face it, sieging is the most common type of battle, therefore infantry is the most useful) and I heard the the Teutonic Order has really great infantry units.

Does the Crusade campain deliver? Comparing it to Vanilla Crusades?

What about the Americas campaign?

Most importantly, is the MULTIPLAYER FIXED???

I am waiting for Empire....though that dosent mean that I dont think kingdoms is good but I am just tight on money so I dont want to get Kingdoms play it until Empire and then have no money to get it.But thats just me..from what I hear the Exspansions pretty good so do what you wish man.

If you don't have money issues go for it I say. I had a blast playing as the Scots in the Brittania campaign. I also had a good time as the Danish in the TO campaign. I never finshed the other 2. Not because they where bad I just have a problem finishing campaigns (once you get too strong it gets kinda boring..). The Americas is very different.

It still uses the crappy gamespy if thats what you mean, but it works.

I can really recommend Kingdoms. The campaigns are fun and when you're done playing with it, most of the mods that are available here on TWCenter (including the excellent Stainless Steel 6.1) require Kingdoms to function..

Besides, it won't be at least another half year before Empire comes out, so that's plenty of time to keep you entertained..

Kingdoms fixes some things I was missing in M2TW: boiling oil for one. Also, allows you access to the Americas without having to screw around until the late game.

Since you are in the U.S., you can now get Kingdoms for $20 at Walmart. At that price, I'd say go for it (I did).

As many have posted -- If money is an issue, you will get more bang for the buck with Kingdoms. With the Retrofit Mod it is really the final patch in M2TW. Besides -- do you really know when you will be playing Empires? You know that you can be playing Kingdoms right now.

Its true, you can get Kingdoms for 20 bucks. Empire will be out, depends where you live actually.

Heck, if you do not own Rome or Shogun -- go get them. They are cheap and fun. All games have differences. I still play 20 yr. and older wargames with maps and counters. Spice of life!

If you have money to waste, then buy Kingdoms if you enjoyed M2TW. If you did not enjoy M2TW then don't buy Kingdoms.

IMO Kingdoms is quite an impressive expansion. You really get your money worth.

I also had a blast playing the Britania campaign. I played Denmark in the Teutonic campaign, but somehow I didn´t find that as great as I had expected. I am currently playing Spain in the Americas, that campaign is awesome.

Ahh, the joy of charging 60 heavy armored conquistadores at full speed into native warriors...

Agreed. Kingdoms is a very good expansion, worth it's money. It fixes many bugs of the Vanilla and as others said, many interesting mods are for Kingdoms.

i have order kingdoms from an internet site and im waiting for empire too . until it will come i will conquer the asia minor in internet cafe . Greek Firethrowters ftw !
