let the games begin![]()
but i gotta say consoles are better for all types of games cept for RTS
For FPS and RTS, I'd rather have it on PC.
Actually, in all honesty, it depends on the game.
PC, simply because of its expandability with components. Plus, the games are slightly cheaper for the PC than they are for any of the consoles.

PC, as its usally more user friendly and you can mod tons of the games released on the pc, where you buy console games and you get what you pay for. Giving PC games more replay value.
PCs have to upgrade about at least 2 times in each console generation to keep making the most out of the games, that's the only set back, however, you'll be able to get better performance, resolution and AA than current consoles. The upgrade shouldnt cost that much if you know how to get cheap parts and sell your older stuff.
In what concerns the types of game it is completly irrellevant for me since I have a USB gamepad. FPS and RTSs I play with mouse and keyboard, action that does not require manual aiming I prefer the gamepad, makes it pretty pointless to argue which genre is better in which platform since most PC games have gamepad support.
PC also have cheaper games, free DLC and modding communities.
In the current gen, if you already have a high end PC you arent missing out much, but the most logic console to buy would be the PS3 since the exclusives wont reach the PC. Also, blu ray player.

PC, it's always been PC and will be forever. Until consoles turn into VR machines.

PCs are superior for online play, real-time strategy and first person shooters, and for their limitless upgrades and such but when it comes down to it...if you don't have an endless supply of cash that you constantly (and I mean constantly) dump into improving the gaming performance of your PC then consoles should be your thing.
With consoles you're always guaranteed to be playing the contemporary games on the best graphic settings with the smoothest performance. Plus you can play the games in HD if the game allows it and you have an HD TV, and I don't know about you guys but my TV is like....5 or 6 times bigger than my monitor.
consoles also make multiplayer with friends over so much more easier. If you were gonna play with your friends on the PC then you'd either have to each be at your separate houses or bring all your PCs to one house and do a LAN thing (which is sometimes too much of a hassle unless you plan on doing this)

I enjoyed consoles as a kid, then I grew up and got a PC. Never looked back.
The strange days are coming.
There are console games and there are pc games. You can't really compare much.

pc
1) I can't stand controllers, my hand cramps up using one.
2) I hate paying for online service to connect to other players where it should be free.
3) 90% of the games I want to play are only enjoyable with keyboard + mouse. only games I want to play on console are platformers or super mario brawl type of games.
4) even though I need to upgrade once(on top of the initial building of one) to keep playing pc games with decent settings in each console generation, the 2nd upgrade will make the console look super dated graphic wise.
5) to the informed, we all know to get a new console on day one + all the peripherals that comes with it will cost us close to 1000$ excluding the 1020p tv you will need for it. I can't hog the living room tv. 1000$ is more than enough for pc builders to get a decent pc that will beat the new console within the year.
that is all I can think of right off the top of my head.

He's stating that this topic is like beating a dead horse. It's been discussed way too many times already and won't get anywhere.I say, old bean, are you trying to imply something?
"Beating a dead horse" is an idiom that means a particular request or line of conversation is already foreclosed, mooted, or otherwise resolved, and any attempt to continue it is futile.
