Favorite DBZ charecter

I wanted to bring the DBZ debate "back to life" hopefully some of you will join me

I am a big DBZ fan... it was the first anime that I ever saw...and it holds a special place in my heart.

Instead of a general discussion on the show as a whole (thats already been done) I want to know who is everyones favorite charecter: it can be a hero, a villian, or some random charecter thrown in there for no real reason....

If you take a look at my pic...you can prob guess who mine is... and Im not joking. I love Hercule/Mr. Satan. And I will go toe to toe with anyone who says he sucks... (next to Goku he's saved the world in more ways (mostly subtle) then anyone else....)

Second though is Vegeta... He's a total beast...even though he gets owned in every fight he ever enters...

Okay your turn... I wanna see lots of responses here...mainly so I dont feel like a total loser for bieng the only person left who watches this show

So I'll say Vegeta... he achieved everything Goku did with natural talent, through hard work and determination alone. That's a good role model in a way. Though the fact that he's evil isn't exactly the best thing to emulate.

I don't like the anime though... just the manga.

Id say why? what about him do you like? aside from the fact he's happy with his body he doesnt buy into the hollywood anorexic "thin is beautiful nonsense"

Nope! Mine was Zoids: New Century Zero

And I liked Master Roshi. The guy was hilarious.

Vegeta.
Then Frieza.
Then Piccolo.

Goku's okay, but he's too much a "flawless, perfect good guy" thing. The other guys, they have flaws, they have depth to their characters, and even the villains have real motives for what they are doing. Goku is just a stock character.

BTW- I can't wait for the Dragonball live action film in April of '09. It will rock balls.

my favorite was kid gohan after he went ssj 2 of course before that he was just a whiny little kid and afterwards he got weak

My favorite ? Ohohohohohohoh. If this counts Dragon Ball as well... Master Roshi.

That guy was ripped. Freakin' ripped.

Also, his Kamehameha wave, his life's work was mastered by Goku in five seconds back then. lol.

Gohan is the most disappointing character from any story, ever. Even if he did beat cell. I mean... anybody could've beaten cell if they'd just killed him instead of dickering around for so long.

Gohan IS a tad disappointing. I remember after the Cell saga thinking "he's going to be bad ass now, right?"

No, no he's not.

Buu's my favorite character too, because he's owned everybody at one point and really couldn't care less about it. Just wanted some fun.

And he's pudgy.

I can't stand watching this show, I think it's ridiculously boring. But there was a time when I was young and stupid when I liked it, and at that time my favorites were:

Krillin - I loved this guy, It always annoyed me how he and the other DB characters got left behind so quickly in favor of the shiny new aliens.

Piccolo - This guy was pretty cool too. I also didn't like how he was basically worthless by the end of the series.

exactly, the show really got old when I hit 13

They do spend an awful lot of time standing around talking about fighting, instead of actually fighting.

And I think Goku vs. Frieza was, what, 40 episodes?

The worst was during the Cell saga, when Goku was doing the whole 'soul ball' thing. It took about 2-3 episodes for him to explain it, another 2 to charge it up, then he throws it at cell and he's just standing there afterward laughing.

DBZ is the only manga anime I've ever liked (I kinda got into pokemon when I was like 11 but stopped watching very quickly).

The best character, for me it's Vegeta. They should have left Goku dead and turn Vegeta into the hero of the series...

I seriously can't believe that there is 10 minutes worth of swearing per episode.
