Does the AI in cossacks 2 cheat?

Because it sure looks like it I've cut off all their villages in the I think 5th mission where you have to destroy their town centre for the first time and they keep sending regiments at me from seemingly nowhere. If so I'll be uninstalling this right now I cant stand games with ai that sucks so much it has to cheat.

I thought the AI to be cheating as well because it constantly churned out huge amounts of troops from almost out of nowhere while I either wasn't able to produce any or wasn't able to keep up with ressource production to fund troops and ammunition.
So, I'm almost sure the AI is cheating.

a what? :S I actually liked it its very different from other stragery games ive played till I relized the ais probably cheating.

I *cough* bought it to try it out and i have to say that despite the things it was lacking in, it was a fun and different game. Replayability was so-so too.

I thought the AI was always stupidly hard to beat. The learning curve is huge and made worse by the fact the AI has faster spawning times then you do.
