Rome - Total War Numidia

I'm going to be playing Numidia in a vanilla mulitplayer campaign and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me. That would help me out a lot.

btw, the game i'm playing is the Agustus! Vannila hotseat campaign and there's still one faction left for anyone who wants it.

Numidia's strength is in cavalry, not infantry. So though you can use some of their legionaries, the backbone of your army should be cavalry. That's me learning from multiplayer battles online, but I'm not sure how well that concept works in auto-resolve, which we will be using.

one tip is that your legionarres are one of a kind, no other faction gets them a soon as numidia does so you have a serious edge on say barbarian factions and phalanx factions, also the legionarres are better than most early roman units so build armies that focus and taking the advantage of camel cav and your legionarres and youll be unstoppable, at first

im not sure how well they will do in auto resolve

I think your main problem as numidia at the begining will be money.
This is what I would do from the start:

Leave Numidian eastern town in the first turn destroying buildings (as even if you build there roads, trader and farm it will still have about minus 300/400 every turn) and head towards southern Egyptian town for a surprise attack, you have a good general there, throw all your spears before engaging. I always do that on VH/VH against AI. If you take that town you can train archers straightaway, which is Numidian main advatage at the begining.
Good luck mate, cause you will need it, as it's one of the toughest faction to start and develop with.

your tactics must b very mobile. the Num. cav kicks @$$, but only if u use them right. u gotta blitz hard and fast 2 scatter the enemy bfore he attacks your crappy infantry line. thats the golden rule of numidian tactics. as far as strategy goes, numidia starts out with almost no trade materials so u have 2 keep attacking 2 keep ur economy afloat. at the same time though, u have 2 be careful who u attack until ur strong enough to operate on a massive scale. avoid war with rome, and always remember: numidian tactics are very mobile, so u snooze, u lose. hope this helps
