    So whats the Wierdest Alliance you have seen in the game so far?

    The Wierdest I've seen was this:
    England-Egypt
    and another one
    HRE-Turkey

    was playing a game as spain and i let it drag along and had both mongols and timurids on the map.... and yes they were allies :s i dunno if its weird but it sure as hell is scary !

    A tri-alliance of France, Scotland, and England (it only lasted for about a turn cause France got excommunicated and England wanted in on the crusade I called)

    And another one: Venice (me), Portugal, and Spain

    The AI never seem to pick the most realistic alliance choices...

    Kwarezmian Empire and Norway? Sure, why not? When the Mongols arrive, the Norwegians will just take a boat! They'll arrive to watch the sacking of Baghdad and then they'll get massacred by the Mongols!

    In my current SS Lithuanian Campaign...

    The Kwarzemenians, Eypgtians and Turks are all allied with each other. Nothing strange there...

    Except the Papal States are also allied to ALL of them!

    ya i launched a crusade on mulan (paris) and egypt broke off from britain to come along. playing a faction that is muslim and or away from central western europe helps create some strange alliances.

    Leave it to the modder to perfect the works of the paid developers for no profit at all.
