    Default Region Borders

Just wondering how many people would prefer the region borders to be removed from the strategic mini-map, or as CaesarVincens suggests made much more subtle. Here are some screenshots for comparison: (1) With borders; (2) Without borders; (3) With minimal borders.

    (1) (2) (3)

Obviously the map looks better without borders. The only downside is that, if you want to see where the borders of a region are, you have to look over it with the strat view.

I usually play without borders, but I like seeing how many enemy territories are left so I voted minimal borders.

Personally I love the borders. I think the map looks pretty crap without them, myself.

Borders for me. I just like them, without them, the map loses some functions. To see which factions own many citys, which ones only have large countries with few city's and where to launch assaults.

I've got an update on what the borders could look like:

I like how most of the colors look, but I can't get the Seleucids quite right.

    Anyway...

If you want to try out the colors I have set here, download the file.

I thought the Seleucids', Scythians' and Saba's looked the best... Bactria and Parthia is alright, can't really see the others though.

I actually like the borderless map most of the time because the map is just too big (the smaller provinces look bad), but I do miss the function of the old borders. This is a brilliant compromise.

EDIT: Maybe the rebels should have their borders removed, though?

I just played more with CaesarVincens' colours, and I have to say, it's excellent. The borders don't jump out like the vanilla ones did, but if you're looking for the borders, they'll be there. Though some factions' borders aren't distinct enough, IMO. Gaul, for example, or the Greeks.

I would prefer the minimal borders that CaeserVincens last posted... They look great, and you can still tell how many cities enemy factions have.

    I new update:

I've tweaked most the secondary colors. And I also have some pictures of factions that were harder to see due to small province size.

Here's a suggestion: Why not make it an install option to have full borders or minimal borders. As only one file is involved, it shouldn't be that hard to make it an install option?

    CV's are incredible!

That would definitely be my vote. Also, I second Warmaster's suggestion.

Thank you, Reloader-1. And I was thinking that exactly Warmaster. Yet another install option for those who wish it.

Though, minimal borders is leading in votes...

Here's a new version. Something like this will be in the next version, probably as an option, with the vanilla borders as default.

I think the minimal borders give the best idea of occupied and unoccupied lands.
