Yeah it was a great movie! I loved it even if they didn't quite get the Civil War bit right!!! Those films made Clint Eastwood's career. He became of the biggest stars in hollywood after that. Lee Van Cleef played a great villain and Eli Wallach probably out-acted Clint Eastwood in the film.
Ah, coming from telly in... two minutes. Worth watching again.
I watched all the trilogy. I think i like For A Few Dollars More better.
Don't forget a trio of other Sergio Leone gems and the fine actors he secured to help make them:
- Once upon a Time in the West with Charles Bronson, Henry Fonda and Jason Robards
- Once upon a Time in the Revolution with Rod Steiger and James Coburn (also known as A Fistfull of Dynamite and [shudder] Duck You Sucker)
- Once upon a Time in America with Robert de Niro and James Woods
(there seems to be a theme building up here but I just can't quite put my finger on it).
Combine Sergio Leone's cinematic Grand Opera with Ennio Morricone's incredible music and you have a truly unforgettable experience.

Everything about these movies reeks of potent musky maleness. I felt like more of a man just for having watched them (which I did for the first time, all three of them, only last month).
Cluny the Scourge's online Rome: Total War voice-commentated battle videos can be found here: http://uk.youtube.com/profile?user=C...e1&view=videos - View on High Quality only.
Cluny will roast you on a spit in your own juice...
Those Movies are great and the theme is awsome.
These fine gentlemen's have thanks to their consistent idiotic posts have earned their place on my ignore list: mrmouth, The Illusionist, motiv-8, mongrel, azoth, thorn777 and elfdude. If you want to join their honourable rank you just have to post idiotic posts and you will get there in no time.
i m just askin to the non italians here: when the movie was released in USA, it was censored in some parts as the dialogues (thing not happened, with the original italian version)...
...as some parts as the Wooden Lexington bridge dialogues etc.....
here's the question: did u see the censored movie or not censored one?
the good the bad and the ugly is one of my favorite movies of all time, the genre itself is amazing
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly was great. My favorite spaghetti western film though has to be The Outlaw Josey Wales. Fantastic, entertaining, and fun western.
An eternal film experience...
Guess my favourite![]()
I hate Westerns, but I think there are few of those that are classics of movie industry and should be watched. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Fistful of Dollars, Once Upon a Time in the West...
